U-SoA has engaged the firm NADAAA to develop a vision for the School’s grounds, shaping U-SoA’s future within the campus. Per Dean el-Khoury, “Building on insights from a December 2016 Design Charette, NADAAA’s study will align our academic plan and pedagogical ambitions with a design program and direction that will guide our future efforts in re-programming, upgrading and expanding the School’s facilities”.

Scheduled to launch the planning process at the School’s mid-August retreat, Nader Tehrani, NADAAA founding partner and Dean of the Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture at Cooper Union, will moderate a discussion on how the physical environment of U-SoA could enhance the School’s teaching and research practices.

Tehrani and his firm NADAAA have emerged as leading experts in this area with several acclaimed projects completed for architecture schools in the US and abroad—as described in this recent article.
