Professors Jaime Correa and Charles Bohl and a multi-disciplinary group of 10 University of Miami students completed a successful Winter Intersession travel seminar in the City of Barcelona, Spain, through the Department of Study Abroad. In addition to daily open-city lessons on the history of urbanism, architecture, and real estate development, faculty and students met local architects and development stakeholders, including: Alex Diaz, an incremental developer and a redevelopment pioneer in the Raval neighborhood, and Albert Civit, Director of INCASOL - the public non-profit organization in charge of housing, preservation, development and re-development in the Catalunya region.
